MoFlo: Instrumentation

MoFlo (Dako Colorado, Inc.) Flow Cytometer and High Speed Cell Sorter

Located in room 101B of the Pathology building on the CSU main campus.

  • Solid state iCyt 488nm (blue) laser
  • 635nm (red) diode laser
  • Coherent Radius 405nm (violet) laser
  • Capable of measuring up to 9 fluorescent parameters in addition to forward and side light scatter
  • Sort as many as 4 sub- populations of cells at one time, rather than the standard 2 fractions.
  • Sort single cells (or any specified number) into 96 well plates using the automated Cyclone attachment. Other sizes of plates and trays can also be used, and microscope slides.

Due to the complexity of this instrument, all analysis and cell sorting experiments need to be scheduled with the trained operator. The purity and yield of the sort can be maximized according to client needs.
